A journey is a person in itself; no two are alike. And all plans, safeguards, policing, and coercion are fruitless. We find that after years of struggle that we do not take a trip; a trip takes us. -John Steinbeck

Hello! I’m Garnet Templin-Imel. Welcome to my blog, Mosquito Travels. I have a theory that mosquitoes live in beautiful places. This idea was born on an RV adventure to Alaska in 2014, and continued with another RV trip across the United States from the state of Washington to the other Washington in 2016. This travel blog explores my adventures to beautiful places that I find and where mosquitoes often live.

  1. Garnet, I’m loving the pictures and your blogs! The red rock reminded me of Utah’s Bryce Canyon and St. George. Gorgeous pictures! Your trip sounds fascinating so far and I know you’re having a great time. I’m envious, but must admit that it’s a good thing I didn’t go with you when I read about the early morning hours on some of the side trips. I’m NOT a morning person and that likely wouldn’t have been my cup of tea. But give me the night life and I’m full steam ahead. 🙂 Have a great rest of your trip and I will continue to follow you on your wonderful adventure “down under”! BTW-I’m guessing Roger knew Beverly Kison from Ritzville instead of a Donna Kison. I know Bev attended Bethel and would have been there a year ahead of Butch Gering.

  2. Probably not a good place for me since I’m mosquito bait. Just talked to your dad and Nita about Bob Templin. Sorry about his passing, but sounds as if it was a blessing. Give Garrett and Carol our best. No wonder they didn’t answer their phone, they’re with you.
